How I spent my 30th birthday

It's official peeps.  This girl is 30!  Wow.  Saying that is going to take some getting used to.  I know I haven't had much time to post lately with the wedding rapidly approaching but I wanted to make sure I documented such a monumental birthday.  The fiance took me on a weekend getaway to the great city of Austin, TX and we had such a GREAT time!  Being new Texans, this was our first trip to Austin so we tried to squeeze in as many different shenanigans as possible while we were there.  I hope you enjoy reliving our experiences of good old Austin, TX!  Happy Birthday to me!

Later on that night, I rang in my birthday like a 21 year old college kid on 6th street.  I was in awe of all the crazy shenanigans I witnessed on that street but we had a lot of fun!

The next day we decided to get up early and run Lake Lady Bird.  I know what you are thinking.....what crazy person gets up after a night of partying for the birthday and goes running???  Life of an active couple I suppose- I love this kind of stuff!  I am impressed with how active everyone is in Austin.  The lake was filled full of people running, and riding bikes.  I loved every minute of it!

After our run, we checked out the Austin Zoo.  It has nothing on my hometown zoo in St. Louis but I like that the zoo is non profit and has all rescue animals.  I also liked how up close and personal the animals are!  They even let you feed them :)

I had this little surprise waiting for me when we returned to our hotel room :)  This one is a little different from the one I posted on my 30th birthday wish list last week but I actually like it better!  Good job babe!

On our way to dinner......

Earlier today......  It just wouldn't be a road trip without Cracker Barrel!

And outlet mall window shopping!

The weekend was perfect.  Quality time with my main man, traveling to a new place, fitness, animals, the outdoors, and LOTS of fun.  We have a big dinner planned to celebrate with our friends and family on Friday but this was a perfect way to spend my 30th birthday.  I have to say, I think 30 is going to be good for me.  I become a MRS is less than 60 days and get to start this new decade of my life out being his wife.  WINNING :)  #feelingprettygood
Until next time.....
