Five on Friday.....Thankful Series, Part III

It's that time again!!  I am continuing the Thanksgiving Five on Friday series with Hello! Happiness, The good life blog, and A. Liz Adventures.

ONE.....  Live sporting events

I am more grateful for live sports for my husbands sake lol so that I can happily participate in his love for sports but I actually really enjoy watching sporting events live.  It is really the only way to get me to stay alert and attentive to what is happening throughout a game.  I love the excitement of live, sporting events!!  The below pics are from a Mavs v. Lakers game last February :)

TWO....  Andy Cohen

I just love my fellow St. Louisian and his late night talk show, Watch What Happens Live.  His book really inspires me that if you dream big enough, and work hard enough, your goals will become your reality.

THREE..... Homemade smoothies

I have been making my own fruit smoothies and shakes for years now.  I love coming up with different recipes and using them as a breakfast meal replacement during the week.  My favorite breakfast shake/smoothie recipe pictured below is banana, oatmeal, greek yogurt, honey, raspberry/strawberry/blueberry blend, ice, and a splash of water.  It is really yummy!

FOUR..... Animals

I love animals (non-rodents-they scare me).  Trips to the zoo make me happy and I love to learn about different animals that I am not very familar with.  I went horseback riding for the first time on our honeymoon in Aruba and I loved it!  Horses are such unique animals and I wish I could have one but we all know how expensive it is to own a horse.  So until I get to spend time with one again, I enjoy looking at pictures of my horse I rode in Aruba, LaFina (pictured below).  I also posted a few pictures of animal facts I took over the summer at the Austin zoo.

FIVE..... Christmas

The birthday of Jesus has always been my FAVORITE holiday.  I love the decorations, family, and holiday cheer.  I am looking forward to a low-key Christmas this year with not many gifts, celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus, and building family traditions.  Below is one of my favorite pictures of our first Christmas in Texas- last year!

So excited Thanksgiving is almost here!   Until next time friends.
