It's all in The Details!

What's a wedding without the details?!  This is after all, what we spend months and months doing during the planning process, right?  At least that was my experience- deciding on all those special little touches that will make your day extra special.

Our theme was a combination of shabby-chic, romance, and elegance.  Through the details, you will see some of my vision up close and personal :)

Here we go.

Bridal bouquet.  The rings with the Wall Street Journal from that day as a backdrop.  Something Borrowed (the rosary wrapped around my bouquet) and Something Blue (our wedding date sewn into my dress)
The dress and my 2 something new's- the Erica Koesler headpiece, and my purple/jeweled Badgley Mischka pumps!
Ceremony details......Mason jars holding the aisle flowers for some "shabby" and these were transferred to the reception tables to hold our lower centerpieces!  Mason jars continued throughout the reception on the candy buffet as well :)  I made the seating chart sign and just printed it to look like the other chalkboard sign. We had our sign holder carry a large chalkboard heart to keep with our shabby-chic theme.  More "shabby" with the ribbons and mini mason jars holding flower arrangements hanging from the archway.  We opted to use sand for our unity ceremony inside of unity candles to avoid any mishaps with the wind since we were outdoors.  Lastly, the venue.  We chose the Japanese garden inside the renowned Missouri Botanical Gardens, one of the premiere wedding locations in St. Louis because we wanted a romantic backdrop.  This garden set the tone of a true fairytale as it feels like we were in the garden of Eden.

Chalkboards, chalkboards, and more chalkboards!  I did chalkboards signs or finishes for ALL of our signage for the "shabby" of the shabby-chic.  Our sign holder also carried a large chalkboard in the shape of a heart and we used chalkboard table numbers!

Cake and cake topper.  Monogram.  And our fabulous chalkboard, menu style seating chart!

Details not pictured:  the bathroom goodie baskets, candy buffet, and the photo booth.  The "something old" is also not pictured.  We did a special selection of old school specialty drinks at the bar such as the Tom Collins!

It is so hard to believe that this was our wedding.  On that day, it was all so surreal.  It is so fun to see our day all over again through these photos.
