Asher is....Four Months Old!!

Say it isn't so.  How is my tiny little baby boy 4 months old!  This is such a precious age as you grow into your personality.  We mainly call you Bubba and Buddy as nicknames now.  You have officially outgrown needing swing time for soothing although we still let you play in it here and there. You are now too big to lounge in your Boppy lounger unless we are setting right there and we really only use your regular Boppy for tummy time and nursing.  You love people and being out and about.  You are now in 3-6 month clothes but you still fit comfortably into many of your 0-3 months at the moment.  You just outgrew size 1 diapers and have officially graduated to size 2s.  You are now averaging 5-7 hours of sleep consistently before waking up to feed and you even slept completely through the night a few times this past week!  I definitely think by the time I write your 5 month update you will be sleeping consistently through the night which will be a much welcomed break for mommy :)  You still are not a paci fan but love to keep things in your mouth so you have plenty of new toys to keep you entertained and to help with keeping those fists you love so much out of your mouth.

You get more and more charming as you come into your personality.  You smile and laugh a lot and you talk so much it is ridiculous!  You can roll over from your tummy to your back and also from your back to your tummy!  You no longer are co-sleeping but you are still in your bassinet in our room.  If you keep growing like a weed, you will be too big for the bassinet and we are going to have to graduate to your crib in your nursery whether we like it or not!

Growing Pains....

At your four month checkup, you weighed in at 14lbs 7oz and measured 25 inches.   You still spit up quite a bit but the reflux medicine is not really helping so we decided to no longer give it to you since you are not in pain.  Your eczema has improved greatly.  You just started teething so I have been on the hunt to find natural remedies to help you as you go through this painful time.  You drool A LOT mister.  Between the spit up episodes and the constant drooling, mommy is doing your laundry 2-3 times a week!  You are still exclusively breastfed on demand and receiving 3-4 bottles a day on the 2-3 days a week that mommy leaves for work.

I love you so much it hurts little man.  Please never get too big or too grown up for your mommy to offer you all this love because nothing makes my heart happier that being your mom :)
